Description:

  • Set-up, run, and take-down the SUU Mobile Planetarium at local elementary and middle schools
  • Learn and present scripted planetarium shows to elementary and middle school audiences
  • Help plan, communicate, market, oversee, and manage additional STEM events such as Family “STEM in the Field” Events, and the Southern.
  • Positions available for work-study and non work-study students.

Utah Science and Engineering Fair

  • Occasionally assist with other on-campus STEM events including field trips, Wonder Wednesday, and Toddler Tuesday

Qualifications:

  • Some astronomy experience preferred, but not required
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Google Workspace
  • Must be able to pass a background check through SUU
  • Dependability and punctuality a must
  • Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs
  • Must have a valid driver's license and transportation to travel to work locations at Elementary schools in Cedar City and Enoch,.

Hiring for the following schedules:

  • Wednesday 8:30 am - 12 pm + Thursday 5:00 - 8:30 pm
  • Wednesday 12:00 - 3:30 pm + Thursday 5:00 - 8:30 pm
